W520 · C-Curve Gel Brush — Shaped to the form, not to your wrist. The bristle bed is cut to an arc that matches the inner groove of a nail form. One load, one pass — the gel lands at an even thickness along the whole curve instead of needing three passes and a rebuild. Wide enough to double as a builder and colour brush. Best for: Nail-form extensions. Anyone who keeps fighting the sidewall gap. Skip it if: You only do short natural-nail overlays — W523 is less brush to manage. W523 · Builder Gel Brush — Long oval. Carries the bead, places the apex. The thickest bristle bed in the set at 1.76 mm, on a long oval profile — it picks up a working bead and releases it where you push it, not where gravity wants it. The fine tip refines the apex without a second tool. Best for: Builder-gel overlays on the natural nail, short to medium length. Skip it if: You're extending length over forms — W520's arc does that job. This is the brush most artists use most days — fine lines, marble veins, blooming detail, bohemian pattern. Best for: Detail work at normal line length. Skip it if: You need a line longer than about 2 cm without reloading — that's W529. W528 · Bold Liner — For when a hairline is too shy. Same idea as W527 with more than six times the bristle volume at 0.82 mm. W529 · Long Liner Brush — 18.54 mm of filament. One line, no joins. The longest bristle in the set and the thinnest at 0.24 mm. Length is what makes it steady — the filament trails behind your hand and averages out the tremor, so a long line arrives unbroken even when your hand isn't. It holds enough gel to finish the stroke instead of fading halfway. Best for: Striping, shell nails, water-ripple, long unbroken curves. Skip it if: You need control inside a 3 mm space — here the length works against you. How to use: Load along the full length, hold at a low angle, move from the elbow rather than the fingers, and don't stop mid-line. The flat face lays a wide band, the edge lays a thin one, so line weight changes with how you turn the brush and a full plaid comes off one tool without colour breaks. W531 · Small Round Brush — Shortest bristle here. Highest control. At 5.94 mm this is the shortest bristle in the set, which is exactly why it's the most controllable. Face-on it prints a large petal; on its side it prints a narrow one — daisies and mini florals come from the same brush by changing the angle, not the tool. Best for: Daisies, mini florals, small petals, tight detail on short nails. Skip it if: You want a full-scale one-stroke bloom — W524. W532 · Stippling Brush — The stiffest brush here. Texture, not coverage. Thicker-gauge filament in a dense round bundle, 3.24 mm through. It doesn't lay colour flat and isn't meant to — it breaks the surface into texture. Stippled blush, oil-paint finishes, dry-brush thread pulling, fur and knit effects. Best for: Texture painting, stippled blush, oil-paint art. Skip it if: You want a smooth finish anywhere on that nail. How to use: Load lightly, blot most of it off on a lint-free wipe, then tap straight down. Do not drag. Before first use — do this once, per brush. New brushes ship with factory sizing holding the bristles in shape. Soak the bristles in warm water to release it. Do not rest the brush upright in the cup: the weight bends the tip permanently. Work both flat sides until the sizing lets go, blot on a lint-free wipe, then condition with brush conditioner or builder gel before the first stroke.

Every session. Pre-load the brush with the same gel you're about to apply — a fully coated bristle lays down smoother than a dry one. Keep a dedicated brush for glitter gel; glitter never fully clears a bristle bed and will contaminate your next colour. Stroke in one direction when conditioning or cleaning. Scrubbing back and forth, or side to side, splays the tip and it does not come back.

Which brush to start with. W521 for colour, W523 for builder, W527 for lines. The other ten are how you stop compromising.

Keep brushes out of light — including daylight through a window. Nail lamps and ambient UV cure gel inside the bristle bed and the brush is finished. This is the single most common way a gel brush dies, and it is not a manufacturing fault. Cap them. The aluminium cap is opaque — that is its job, not decoration.

After every use. Wipe away residual gel on a lint-free wipe, clean with a dedicated brush cleaner until the colour releases, wipe again, reshape the tip, cap it and store away from light.

Seat the cap carefully. A bristle folded outside the cap rim deforms and splits.

Do not clean with cleanser or alcohol. Both strip the filament dry, rough and frizzy and shorten the working life of the brush. Dedicated brush cleaner only.

Do not use with acrylic monomer. These brushes are built for gel — colour gel, builder gel, hard gel, gel paint.

On natural wood: Grain runs differently through every handle — no two brushes in your set look exactly alike. Camphor carries a faint natural woody note when new; it fades with use and does not transfer to your gel.

On measurements: Bristle dimensions are measured by hand and vary slightly between units. Star ratings are a relative scale within this set, derived from measured bristle geometry — they are not absolute performance values.
